We Are AAHA-Accredited
The Cat Doctor voluntarily sought and received an accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This means that an expert regularly evaluates our practice to ensure that we are always complying with the highest standards of veterinary medicine. It also means you can be sure your cat is receiving the best possible care using the latest procedures and technology. Cats are our passion and keeping them healthy is our top priority. Only about 12% of animal hospitals in the U.S. and Canada are accredited by AAHA, and we’re happy to say that we’ve been one of them since 2004!
Proud to Be a Cat-Friendly Practice!
The Cat Doctor is also proud to be certified as a Cat-Friendly Practice by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) at the Gold Status. This certification reflects our consideration of the unique needs of cats in the waiting and examination rooms, the care we take in handling our feline patients, the attitude and knowledge of our staff, and the comfort and concern we show for cats and their owners. The AAFP established the Cat-Friendly Practice program to help veterinary practices meet the needs of cats in a veterinary practice setting.
An extensive self-assessment checklist was designed to demonstrate that Cat-Friendly Practices:
- Understand the unique needs of cats and have made veterinary visits more cat-friendly
- Understand how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic, and caring manner
- Have an appropriate standard of equipment needed to investigate and treat feline patients
- Meets a standard for the facilities and care for hospitalized cats
